Round 1 Stan lands a solid kick to the front leg of Hotaka Utagawa. Cooper lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Hotaka lands a double jab. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Snake" grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that cuts Hotaka Utagawa under the eye. A strong elbow forces Utagawa to lose his balance and fall to the floor. "Snake" lays into Utagawas thighs with some well timed kicks while Hotaka is grounded. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Cooper snaps back the head of Hotaka Utagawa with a stiff jab. Stan fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Utagawa. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Hotaka works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Hotaka takes "Snakes" back standing. Stan isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Hotaka lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Stan to release. The fighters circle each other. A left high kick from Stan Cooper keeps Utagawa at bay. "Snake" keeps Hotaka at a distance with some well timed jabs. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Stan lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Hotaka circling away. Hotaka Utagawa starts to put on the pressure, forcing "Snake" back into the cage. Hotaka Utagawa takes advantage and clinches. Stan works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Stan works Hotaka into the cage from the clinch. Stan presses his head under Hotakas chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Cooper grabs the plum and lands several knees to the legs Hotaka. Hotaka takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. "Snake" lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. A single-leg attempt is well defended by Stan. Utagawa stands up, lifting the leg of Stan and executing a trip takedown. Round 3 comes to a close.
