Round 1 Corey is cornered by Jan who tries to press the action. Corey is able to block well and circles away from Jan, delivering a chopping leg kick and a grazing cross as he does so. Corey Nelson shuffles away from Jans strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Jan backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Jan Abicht weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. Corey ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Jan to the mat, and his back. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Abicht fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Corey to the cage. Corey swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. "The Annihilator" drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Corey Nelson attempts a sloppy triangle attempt allowing Jan the chance to pass to side control. Corey takes a few knees to the body while under Jans side control. Jan Abicht attempts an armbar, but Corey stops the attempt. Jan Abicht uses the oppurtunity to take mount. "The Annihilator" punishes Corey Nelson with a series of strikes from the mount. Jan secures his position. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jan lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Nelson grabs the plum and pulls "The Annihilators" face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Nelson lets go of the hold and lands a hook. Nelson is staggered by a jab to the chin. Jan Abicht begins to clinch with Corey Nelson, but Corey Nelson presses out of it burning up quite a bit of energy. Corey Nelson chips away at Jan with a series of kicks to the legs. Jan attempts a takedown but slips, and Nelson backs away. Nelson is standing over Jan. Corey kicks at the thighs of Abicht. The round comes to an end.
