Round 1 Joseph Brennan connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Tavares narrowly dodges a cross from Brennan, but falls catching him in his guard. Alexandre begins to posture on his side. "Boogaloo" lands a couple of outside hooks and Alexandre returns to the guard. Brennan distracts Tavares with some peppering shots. Brennan then isolates a leg and falls back into a achilles lock. Tavares is able to force his way out of it but gives up half guard in the ensuing scramble. Tavares tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Joseph tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Round 2 Joseph Brennan snaps back the head of Alexandre with a stiff jab. Brennan keeps Tavares at a distance with some well timed jabs. Joseph ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Alexandre to the mat, and his back. Brennan peppers Alexandre Tavares with several shots to the face. Alexandre Tavares starts to wiggle out of back control, "Boogaloo" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Joseph throws a few jabs at Alexandre that miss the mark. "Boogaloo" attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Alexandre takes advantage of the moment taking side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 The fighters circle each other. Alexandre narrowly dodges a cross from Brennan, but falls catching him in his guard. Alexandre Tavares dodges some ground strikes from Joseph, and sends a few back of his own. Alexandre tries to slide out of guard, but a scramble ensues. Brennan ends up mounted by Alexandre. Brennan shifts his head and hips to keep Alexandre off balance and unable to land strikes. "Boogaloo" arches his body up to buck off Tavares from mount. A scramble takes place leading to both fighters back to their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
