Round 1 Barnes hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Shannon connects with a hard jab as Lucas Barnes attempts a wide outside hook. Collins throws a push kick. Barnes shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Collinss nose.
Collins throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Lucas Barnes puts Collins on the mat giving his back up. Barnes peppers "The Cannon" with several shots to the face. Lucas is working a furious pace on Shannon Collins, intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 As Shannon Collins presses forward Lucas Barnes throws a wild spinning backfist. Shannon Collins ducks under it and executes a double-leg to gain half guard. Shannon presses his foot onto the thigh of Lucas Barnes to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. "The Cannon" attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Barnes for his troubles. Lucas Barnes gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Shannon spins around to take it, Lucas Barnes makes his way back to his feet. Shannon Collins fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Lucas Barnes to the cage. Lucas Barnes swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. A right hand from Lucas while in guard angers Shannon Collins who returns the favor with a powerful right hand. Lucas is cut under his eye by a hard overhand from Shannon while utilizing the guard. "The Cannon" presses the action while in the guard, but Lucas Barnes is able to switch him into mount.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Lucas Barnes reaches down and trips Shannon Collins with a beautiful ankle pick. Lucas Barnes dives into his guard. Shannon gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. "The Cannon" tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Shannon hits an upward elbow on Lucas, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Lucas takes side control. Barnes lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Collins tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard. Collins tries to scramble out of half guard, but Barnes takes his back during it. Lucas slides off to the side of "The Cannon" and lands several heavy knees into his ribs. Before he can lose the position, Lucas switches back to full back control. Barnes lands a double punch to the head of "The Cannon". The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
