First of boost his sambo and wrestling, the his strength, flex, speed and footwork, also reflex too if you want but not before any of the other things I said. make him a power lock guy and whatever else you want for a secondary. also along with reflex you could also work on his power but again not until the other things are done first. try this guy in Fight Fest and see how he does.
