Round 1 Gabe connects with a hard punch making "Jigsaw" bring him in to a tight clinch. Gabe Carter is able to work to two overhooks and lands some strong knees and short hooks. Jonas grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts Carter on the floor. Jonas Jorgensen attempts to drop a fist on Gabe Carter, but misses and lands in his guard. "Late Bloomer" shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. "Late Bloomer" dodges some ground strikes from Jonas, and sends a few back of his own. Jorgensen tries to move to half guard but Gabe uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. An attempt to pull a switch is blocked by Jorgensen but both fighters end up on their side. Both fighters scramble to a stand up. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Jonas lands a devastating overhand right on Gabe. Jonas tries to hyperextend the knee of Gabe with a kick to the kneecap. Gabe hops back to avoid it. Jonas Jorgensen unleashes several furious punches at Gabe. "Jigsaw" hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. A wild hook from Jonas is ducked by "Late Bloomer" who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. "Jigsaw" lands a devastating overhand right on "Late Bloomer". A welt begins to form under Carters eye after a strong cross-hook landed from "Jigsaw". "Late Bloomer" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Jorgensen circles Carter, keeping him at bay with quick strikes. "Jigsaw" clinches with Carter and pulls guard but Carter gets in his half guard on the way down. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Jorgensen connects with a hard punch making Carter bring him in to a tight clinch. Gabe Carter works Jonas Jorgensen into the cage from the clinch. Gabe Carter presses his head under Jorgensens chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. "Jigsaw" takes the back of Gabe Carter who works for a kimura. "Jigsaw" pulls his arm out of the hold and push Gabe Carter away. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Jonas Jorgensen connects with a strong right hook. "Jigsaw" catches a leg kick from Gabe Carter, and puts him on the mat. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Jonas Jorgensen keeps Gabe at a distance with some well timed jabs. Carter continually moves away from Jorgensen, who stalks him patiently, occasionally landing a jab or cross. Jonas circles "Late Bloomer", keeping him at bay with quick strikes. Gabe winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. The fighters circle each other. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 "Late Bloomer" connects with a right that puts Jorgensen off balance tumbling to the mat, as "Late Bloomer" towers over him. Carter stands over "Jigsaw", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "Jigsaw" is able to grab an arm and pull Carter into his guard. Carter tries to pass guard but Jorgensen stops him with a well timed punch. Gabe attempts to pass Jonas Jorgensens guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. Carter secures his position. Jonas gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Carter lays into Jorgensen with some strong shots forcing Jorgensen to give up mount position. Jonas bucks off Carter and both fighters get to their feet. The round comes to an end.
