Round 1 Both fighters begin to exchange Jose catches "The Wrecking" with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets "The Wrecking" gather himself. "The Wrecking" says he is ok and the fight continues. Jose circles "The Wrecking", mixing jabs with body shots. Montenegro ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Lucas Ball to the mat, and his back. Montenegro peppers Ball with several shots to the face. Ball starts to wiggle out of back control, Jose lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Both fighters begin to exchange Jose Montenegro catches Lucas with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Lucas gather himself. Lucas says he is ok and the fight continues. Jose Montenegro attempts a takedown, but Ball clumsily falls down without much provocation. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Jose Montenegro circles Lucas Ball, landing jabs and crosses at will. Jose connects with jab cross combination. Jose Montenegro throws a hard jab but Ball throws a cross right over the top rocking Jose Montenegro.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Lucas hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Jose. Jose narrowly dodges a cross from Ball, but falls catching him in his guard. Ball tries to pass guard but Montenegro stops him with a well timed punch. Lucas Ball pushes down Montenegros leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Jose lands some stiff elbows from the ground, but "The Wrecking" is able to take full mount. Lucas telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Jose gives up his back to stop the attempt. Jose starts to wiggle out of back control, Lucas lets him escape putting them both on their feet. "The Wrecking" connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Montenegro. "The Wrecking" hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Jose. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Jose takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Jose Montenegro narrowly dodges a cross from Lucas Ball, but falls catching him in his guard. Lucas drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Ball pushes down Jose Montenegros leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. "The Wrecking" is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Jose gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Jose Montenegro starts to wiggle out of back control, "The Wrecking" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Montenegro is staggered by a jab to the chin. A lazy leg kick from Montenegro is caught by Lucas who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Montenegro. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Lucas connects with a strong body shot combo. Montenegro narrowly dodges a cross from "The Wrecking", but falls catching him in his guard. Montenegro begins to posture on his side. Lucas lands a couple of outside hooks and Montenegro returns to the guard. "The Wrecking" eats a stiff punch to the face, and is then switched, giving Jose full mount. "The Wrecking" shifts his head and hips to keep Jose Montenegro off balance and unable to land strikes. Lucas Ball bucks off Jose and sweeps him over taking side control. Round 5 is over.
