Round 1 Gerard Jackson fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Alfonso. Alfonso Perez dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Gerard standing over him. Gerard throws a short kick to the downed Perez. Perez takes the chance to rise back to his feet. Perez throws a cross that easily dodged by "The Iron Teabag". Gerard starts to put on the pressure, forcing Alfonso Perez back into the cage. Gerard takes advantage and clinches. Alfonso works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Perez tries to break away from the clinch to no avail. Jackson has him on lockdown, peppering him with stiff shots. Gerard takes the back of Perez who works for a kimura. Gerard pulls his arm out of the hold and push Perez away. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Alfonso Perez connects with a strong body shot combo. Perez lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. "The Iron Teabag" connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Perez. Gerard Jackson throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. Gerard Jackson lands some solid knees to the legs of Alfonso from the clinch. Gerard stomps the feet of Perez. Jackson stomps the feet of Perez. Alfonso Perez attempts to grab the plum but is met by an overhand punch from Jackson. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Jackson connects with a strong right hook. Gerard connects with a hard punch making Alfonso Perez bring him in to a tight clinch. Jackson is able to work to two overhooks and lands some strong knees and short hooks. Alfonso attempts to grab the plum but is hit by an aggressive uppercut from Gerard Jackson. Alfonso works Gerard Jackson into the cage from the clinch. Alfonso presses his head under "The Iron Teabags" chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Gerard Jackson takes Perezs back standing. Alfonso isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Gerard Jackson lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Alfonso to release. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Jackson connects with a hard punch making Perez bring him in to a tight clinch. Gerard Jackson connects a few knees to the upper torso of Perez. Gerard receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Alfonso Perez. Perez is on the recieving end of a series of knees to the midsecion. "The Iron Teabag" works Alfonso into the cage from the clinch. "The Iron Teabag" presses his head under Alfonso Perezs chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 Gerard Jackson tries to hyperextend the knee of Alfonso Perez with a kick to the kneecap. Alfonso Perez hops back to avoid it. Gerard Jackson snaps back the head of Alfonso with a stiff jab. Gerard dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Jackson fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Alfonso. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Jackson works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. A stiff elbow looks to have Perez dazed. Perez is hit by successive knees on either side of his ribcage. The round comes to an end.
