Round 1 Illia Dovzhenko connects with a hard punch making Jermain bring him in to a tight clinch. A stiff elbow looks to have Townsend dazed. Illia escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Illia Dovzhenko opens up on Jermain with frequent peppering strikes. Jermain Townsend is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Illia. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Townsend wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Dovzhenko. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Jermain Townsend fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Dovzhenko to the cage. Dovzhenko swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Dovzhenko begins to posture on his side. Jermain Townsend lands a couple of outside hooks and Dovzhenko returns to the guard. Townsend takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Illia Dovzhenkos guard. It doesn't pay off as Illia Dovzhenko makes his way to standing. Jermain throws a few jabs at Illia Dovzhenko that miss the mark. Illia Dovzhenko throws a hard jab but Townsend throws a cross right over the top rocking Illia Dovzhenko. Townsend connects with a hard right hand putting Illia on the mat. Townsend goes down with him into side control. Dovzhenko takes a few knees to the body while under Townsends side control. A series of strong hammerfists forces Illia to try and roll toward "DaDa 2500". "DaDa 2500" lands a devastating shovel punch that roll Illia to his back. "DaDa 2500" scrambles to his back. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Illia takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Townsend throws a hard jab but Illia throws a cross right over the top rocking Townsend. "DaDa 2500" hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. "DaDa 2500" eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Dovzhenko. A jab from "DaDa 2500" is blocked and a cross is returned by Illia. Jermain takes in a well composed combination of quick strikes from Illia. Jermain Townsend parries Illias jab and connect with a cross. Illia connects with jab cross combination. Jermain winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Illia Dovzhenko counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 A jab from "DaDa 2500" is blocked and a cross is returned by Illia Dovzhenko. Jermain Townsend fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Illia Dovzhenko. Townsend drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Illia sets a guillotine choke but Townsend slips out at the last moment. Townsend is now caught in guard. Illia attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Jermain connects with a strong body shot combo. A welt begins to form under "DaDa 2500s" eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Illia Dovzhenko. Illia catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Jermain Townsend. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Jermain Townsend throws a few jabs at Dovzhenko that miss the mark. Illia Dovzhenko catches a leg kick from "DaDa 2500", and puts him on the mat. Illia pushes down Jermain Townsends leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. "DaDa 2500" holds the head of Dovzhenko close to avoid shots. Dovzhenko slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs.Round 5 comes to a close.
