After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Tadashi works Ryan Medina into the cage from the clinch. Tadashi presses his head under Ryan Medinas chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Tadashi Akimoto decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Ryan Medina with him. Tadashi gets his arm underneath the neck of Ryan while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head. Ryan powers out of the attempted choke. Akimoto pulls Ryan close and connects with a few heel strikes to the back. Tadashi is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Tadashi Akimoto grabs an overhook and lock his hands together wrenching the shoulder of Ryan from in guard. Ryan taps from the pain.
