Round 1 Rex connects with jab cross combination. A trip to the ground allows Sal Elkins to move into the guard of Rex Ramos. A can opener from Sal opens up Rexs guard. Sal lands two quick strikes as he moves into half guard. Sal Elkins laces the legs of Rex Ramos giving Rex Ramos the opportunity to somersault over and quickly wrapping up an omoplata. Sal Elkins somersaults over allowing Rex Ramos to take side control. Elkins sweeps over Rex and quickly obtains mount position. Sal is pulled in tight, and then switched over on his back. "The rhino" is now caught in Sal Elkinss guard. Sal Elkins gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Elkins defends short shots well by turning his head. Rex attempts to get a leg free and quickly moves into mount position. Sal bucks off "The rhino" and both fighters get to their feet. Rex Ramos hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 The fighters circle each other. The fighters circle each other. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Elkins circles Rex, landing jabs and crosses at will. Sal fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing "The rhino" to the cage. "The rhino" swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Sal frees a leg and moves into half guard. Ramos defends short shots well by turning his head. Sal attempts to get a leg free and quickly moves into mount position. Elkins throws one straight shot after another to the the chin of Rex. The ref stops it.
