Round 1 Dave Ward connects with a hard jab as Illia attempts a wide outside hook. Dave connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Illia. A powerful elbow has Dovzhenko stepping back dazed. "Pipe Bomb" lands an inside leg kick and a cross, then grabs the plum and tosses Dovzhenko to the ground. Ward lays into Illias thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Illia does so. Dave circles Illia, then lans a push kick that knocks him to the floor. Ward kicks at the thighs of Illia Dovzhenko. "Pipe Bomb" hovers over Illia pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. "Pipe Bomb" waves for Illia to stand up. Illia Dovzhenko circles "Pipe Bomb", landing jabs at will. A welt begins to form under Illias eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Dave. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Illia grabs for a clinch but Ward grazes him with an uppercut. Illia staggers back, then surprises Ward with a powerful superman punch. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Dovzhenko attempts to clinch, but "Pipe Bomb" connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Dave connects with a brutal kick to the liver of Illia who falls to the ground. Dave waves him back to his feet. Dave Ward catches a leg kick from Illia Dovzhenko, and puts him on the mat. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Illia Dovzhenko blocks a strong high kick from Dave Ward and counters with a devastating left hook. Illia fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. "Pipe Bomb" quickly takes his back. Dave tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Dovzhenko starts to wiggle out of back control, "Pipe Bomb" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Ward lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Dave Ward unleashes a flurry of punches on Illia. After dodging a jab-cross, "Pipe Bomb" lands a kick to the liver of Illia who steps back and begins to take a knee. "Pipe Bomb" rushes forward to capitalize but Illia stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 A welt begins to form under Wards eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Illia Dovzhenko. Dave ducks and weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty uppercut. "Pipe Bomb" hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Ward shuffles away from Illia Dovzhenkos strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Dovzhenko backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Both fighters begin to exchange Illia Dovzhenko catches Ward with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Ward gather himself. Ward says he is ok and the fight continues. Dovzhenko is struck by some looping punches and kicks and goes for the clinch to shorten the distance. Dave welcomes the clinch landing a lead knee and a powerful elbow. Then pushes Dovzhenko back to striking distance. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 "Pipe Bomb" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Illia weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. Illia lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. The bell signals the end of round 5.
