Round 1 Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. The fighters circle each other. Felipe connects with a strong right hook. Jad connects with numerous jabs to the face of Edu Silva. Edu is staggered by a jab to the chin. Jad Felipe rushes in grabbing an overhook. He then shoots his opposite arm beneath the overhook, falls back and tumbles, cartwheeling Edu through the air with a beautiful japanese whizzer and takes side control. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Silva connects with a strong right hook. Silva feints and follows up with a hard cross. Felipe stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Silva connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Edu Silva parries Felipes jab and connect with a cross that floors Jad Felipe. Edu Silva kicks at the legs of Felipe and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Felipe to stand. Jad is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Edu prepares to pounce, but Jad gets his bearings just in time. Silva stands over Jad, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Jad cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Silva kicks at the legs of Jad Felipe and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Jad Felipe to stand. Edu Silva grabs for a clinch but Jad grazes him with an uppercut. Edu Silva staggers back, then surprises Jad with a powerful superman punch. Silva connects with a hard punch making Jad Felipe bring him in to a tight clinch. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 As Edu Silva presses forward Jad Felipe throws a wild spinning backfist that hits Edu Silva flush. Jad attempts a striking combination, but Edu Silva forces the clinch. Jad drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Edu Silva sets a guillotine choke but Jad slips out at the last moment. Jad is now caught in guard. Jad Felipe sits up in Silvas open guard and spins to an leg lock. Edu Silva is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Jad narrowly dodges a cross from Edu, but falls catching him in his guard. Felipe begins to posture on his side. Edu lands a couple of outside hooks and Felipe returns to the guard. Jad dodges some ground strikes from Edu, and sends a few back of his own. While in the guard, Edu Silva drops a long punch. Jad Felipe throws the leg over and rolls it over into an armbar. Edu Silva has no choice but to submit.
