Round 1 Choshi hits an uppercut to the head of "DaDa 2500" followed by a hard hook. A trip to the ground allows Koji Choshi to move into the guard of Jermain. Jermain Townsend sinks a deep kimura, but "Run for Cover" slides out. This gives Jermain Townsend the chance to switch to half guard. Jermain attempt to sit up and push into his opponent but Choshi has a strong underhook and pushes back. Jermain uses the momentum to sweep Choshi into side control. A series of strong hammerfists forces Koji to try and roll toward Jermain. Jermain lands a devastating shovel punch that roll Koji to his back. Jermain scrambles to his back. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Jermain connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Townsend fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Choshi. "Run for Cover" attempts to grab the plum but Townsend takes the opportunity to attain double underhooks and take down "Run for Cover". "DaDa 2500" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Choshis guard. It doesn't pay off as Koji makes his way to standing. A trip to the ground allows "Run for Cover" to move into the guard of Jermain Townsend. A tight body triangle from the bottom position forces Choshi to pull Townsend close. Choshi is having trouble breathing in Jermains guard. Townsend shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Jermain starts to lock a triangle. Koji postures up and starts to stand up. Jermain lands a stiff upkick, slumping Koji back into his guard. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 A trip to the ground allows Choshi to move into the guard of Townsend. Townsend slides out from bottom grasping the back of Koji allowing him to get back control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 "Run for Cover" takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Jermain narrowly dodges a cross from Koji, but falls catching him in his guard. "Run for Cover" distracts "DaDa 2500" with some peppering shots. "Run for Cover" then isolates a leg and falls back into a achilles lock. "DaDa 2500" is able to force his way out of it but gives up half guard in the ensuing scramble. Townsend pulls the foot in of Koji Choshi using leverage to sweep him into side control. Koji takes a few knees to the body while under Jermain Townsends side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 A wild hook from "Run for Cover" is ducked by Jermain Townsend who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Jermain Townsend tries to hyperextend the knee of Choshi with a kick to the kneecap. Choshi hops back to avoid it. "DaDa 2500" executes a single leg giving him the back of Koji. Giving up his back, Choshi panics and gives up mount instead. Koji attempts to escape mount but has no luck. "DaDa 2500" maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. The bell signals the end of round 5.
