Round 1 Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Evan Wiuff keeps "The Muscle Shark" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Evan ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Everett Sherk to the mat, and his back. Wiuff attempts to lock in a rear naked choke, but Everett rolls into to mount to cleverly avoid it. Sherk pulls Evan close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Wiuff jumps out of mount and back to dominant side control. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 "The Muscle Shark" is hit with two hard punches to his face. "The Muscle Shark" laughs off the punches. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "The Muscle Shark" decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Wiuff with him. "The Muscle Shark" moves to half guard then is able to grab a butterfly guard, eventually working to standing. Wiuff narrowly dodges a cross from Everett, but falls catching him in his guard. Wiuff begins to work the rubber guard. A tight body triangle from the bottom position forces Everett to pull Evan Wiuff close. Everett is having trouble breathing in Wiuffs guard. "The Muscle Shark" pulls his arms out of guard and wraps around the legs of Evan. "The Muscle Shark" grasps both wrists of his opponent and with immense power lifts him up in a Daki Age power bomb position. Evan slides down and back to the clinch position. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 "The Muscle Shark" hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Everett Sherk connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. A welt begins to form under Evans eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Everett Sherk. Wiuff connects with a hard punch and dives in mounting "The Muscle Shark". The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Everett connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Evan Wiuff attempts a striking combination, but Everett forces the clinch. Sherk takes Wiuffs back standing. Evan isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Sherk lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Evan to release. "The Muscle Shark" throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. Sherk works to Evans back while standing. Sherk throws a couple of outside shots until Evan Wiuff is able to work his way back to the clinch. While jockeying in the clinch Sherk ducks down and grabs a leg of Evan while holding his arm dumping him on to his back with a Kuchiki Taoshi. Sherk takes side control. Evan Wiuff almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Evan Wiuff takes a few knees to the body while under Everett Sherks side control. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Evan connects with a strong body shot combo. Evan eats a strong cross as Sherk moves into the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Evan lands multiple piston shots and short uppercuts to soften up Everett for a trip takedown. Everett is able to pull a switch mid-trip and lands in Wiuffs half guard. Everett tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. "The Muscle Shark" presses his foot onto the thigh of Evan Wiuff to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
