Round 1
A trip to the ground allows Combs to move into the guard of Sano. Sano attempts a kimura from the bottom. "The Carney " blocks the attempt and smothers Sano who transitions to an armbar attempt. "The Carney " is able to defend this as well and works back into guard. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
Combs fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Kyo. Barney works Kyo into the cage from the clinch. Barney presses his head under Kyos chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Barney Combs dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Kyo Sano standing over him. Kyo Sano stands over Combs, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Combs is able to grab an arm and pull Kyo Sano into his guard. Combs lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Barney Combs connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Combs locks a kimura and forces Kyo Sano to defend. Combs settles for a couple of cross-body chops to Kyos temple. Kyo attempts a combination of strikes but Barney catches a punch and moves for an armbar. Kyo defends but Barney sets a short armbar. Kyo is forced to tap.
