Round 1 Randall Erickson connects with a hard punch making Jon bring him in to a tight clinch. "Senor Rowdy Randy" receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Allen drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "Senor Rowdy Randy" sets a guillotine choke but Allen slips out at the last moment. Allen is now caught in guard. Randall attempts an armbar. "The Man" time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Randall Ericksons guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 "The Man" circles Randall, landing jabs and crosses at will. "Senor Rowdy Randy" fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Jon Allen to the cage. Jon Allen swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Randall Erickson takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in "The Mans" guard. It doesn't pay off as Jon Allen makes his way to standing. Randall Erickson hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Jon. "The Man" connects with a hard punch making Randall bring him in to a tight clinch. Erickson takes Jons back standing. Erickson lifts up Jon and dumps him on his back, taking side control. Randall drops a huge strike to Jons chin, landing into his guard. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 A welt begins to form under Allens eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Erickson. "Senor Rowdy Randy" narrowly dodges a cross from "The Man", but falls catching him in his guard. Jon Allen drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Allen defends a triangle attempt, throwing Randalls straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Erickson is able to hold him to half guard. Jon tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Randall defends short shots well by turning his head. Jon Allen attempts to get a leg free and successfully moves into dominant side control. Jon delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing Erickson to turn over. Jon takes the back. Erickson starts to wiggle out of back control, Jon lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Jon Allen wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of "Senor Rowdy Randy". The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Both fighters begin to exchange Jon catches Randall Erickson with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Randall Erickson gather himself. Randall Erickson says he is ok and the fight continues. A trip to the ground allows "The Man" to move into the guard of Randall Erickson. "Senor Rowdy Randy" begins to posture on his side. Jon lands a couple of outside hooks and "Senor Rowdy Randy" returns to the guard. Randall Erickson works for a triangle but Jon Allen throws "Senor Rowdy Randys" straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. Jon Allen tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Jon Allen presses his foot onto the thigh of Randall Erickson to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Jon Allen delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing Randall Erickson to turn over. Jon Allen takes the back. "Senor Rowdy Randy" slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. "The Man" connects with a strong right hook. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 "Senor Rowdy Randy" grabs a single leg and pushes Jon Allen to the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for positional control. "Senor Rowdy Randy" switches to a double leg lifting Jon Allen in the air and slams him down violently on his head. Jon Allen immediately puts "Senor Rowdy Randy" in his guard. Randall locks a kimura but Allen is too strong and he cannot finish it. He settles for a couple shots to Jons face. Randall Erickson takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Allens guard. It doesn't pay off as Jon Allen makes his way to standing. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Randall Ericksons legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Randall Erickson shoots in and executes a textbook single leg takedown, giving him side control. Randall Erickson throws his knee into the ribs of Jon Allen. Randall Erickson attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Allen for his troubles.Round 5 comes to a close.
