Round 1 Fred Ward circles Pilkvist, landing jabs and crosses at will. Fred Ward starts to put on the pressure, forcing Felix back into the cage. Fred Ward takes advantage and clinches. Felix drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "King Of The Ring" sets a guillotine choke but Felix slips out at the last moment. Felix is now caught in guard. Fred attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Fred circles Felix Pilkvist, mixing jabs with body shots. Pilkvist throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Fred Ward. Ward circles Felix, mixing jabs and leg kicks. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Ward takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Ward attempts a striking combination, but Pilkvist forces the clinch. Felix Pilkvist takes Freds back standing. Felix Pilkvist lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Fred is able to work his way back around. A hip toss puts Fred under Felixs side control. Pilkvist lands a few stiff elbows from side control. "King Of The Ring" almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Fred tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Fred winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Pilkvist starts to put on the pressure, forcing "King Of The Ring" back into the cage. Pilkvist takes advantage and clinches. Fred receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Felix. Fred lands multiple piston shots and short uppercuts to soften up Felix Pilkvist for a trip takedown. Felix Pilkvist is able to pull a switch mid-trip and lands in "King Of The Rings" half guard. Fred Ward defends short shots well by turning his head. Pilkvist attempts to get a leg free to pass but Fred Ward has it locked down too well. Fred Ward uses the planted arm of Felix to push off and get back to guard position. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. In the clinch Felix Pilkvist grabs the arm of Fred Ward turns while dropping to a knee whipping him over his shoulder with a Seoi Otoshi throw. Felix Pilkvist immediately takes side control. Pilkvist lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Felix slides his knee across the body of Fred Ward and takes full mount. "King Of The Ring" attempts to buck Pilkvist off from mount but Pilkvist keeps his base and maintains position. Fred Ward pulls his leg out from under Felix and gets back to half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 "King Of The Ring" circles Pilkvist, keeping him at bay with quick strikes. Fred Ward dodges a jab-cross combo from Felix Pilkvist and connects with a front snap kick, sending Felix Pilkvist stumbling backwards. Ward hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Fred Ward blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. Felix tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. Ward lands a hook to the body. Ward connects with a teep to the face of Pilkvist. Fred Ward connects with a teep to the face of Felix. Felix is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Ward. Fred connects with numerous jabs to the face of Felix Pilkvist. A looping right hook from Ward sends Felix Pilkvist to the mat. The bell signals the end of round 5.
