Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Drunken Dragon" grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that cuts Andrew Donoghue under the eye. "Drunken Dragon" takes "Dre CCs" back standing. "Dre CC" isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but "Drunken Dragon" lands a sharp shovel punch that forces "Dre CC" to release. "Drunken Dragon" strikes with a straight front kick. Yasujiro connects with a brutal kick to the liver of Andrew Donoghue who falls to the ground. Yasujiro waves him back to his feet. Naoki Yasujiro lands a outside leg kick that causes Donoghue to back up. Yasujiro parries Andrews jab and lands a liver shot that buckles Andrew. Andrew rolls to his back with Yasujiro standing over him. Naoki Yasujiro lays into Donoghues thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Andrew Donoghue does so. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 The fighters circle each other. Andrew Donoghue connects with numerous jabs to the face of Naoki Yasujiro. Naoki Yasujiro tries to hyperextend the knee of Donoghue with a kick to the kneecap. Donoghue hops back to avoid it. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Dre CC" lands some solid knees to the legs of Naoki from the clinch. Andrew takes Yasujiros back standing. Andrew lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Yasujiro is able to work his way back around. Andrew works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Naoki is on the recieving end of a series of knees to the midsecion. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 "Drunken Dragon" attempts a striking combination, but Andrew Donoghue forces the clinch. Yasujiro receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. The ref breaks the action as "Dre CC" is too inactive holding Yasujiro in the clinch. The action is restarted with the fighters separated. Yasujiro connects with a strong body shot combo. "Dre CC" locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of "Drunken Dragon". Yasujiro is hit by successive knees on either side of his ribcage. Naoki tries to break away from the clinch to no avail. Andrew has him on lockdown, peppering him with stiff shots. The ref breaks the action as Andrew Donoghue is too inactive holding "Drunken Dragon" in the clinch. The action is restarted with the fighters separated. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Naoki connects with a jab cross combination. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Dre CC" places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Donoghue takes Naoki Yasujiros back standing. Donoghue lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. "Drunken Dragon" is able to work his way back around. Donoghue works Naoki into the cage from the clinch. Donoghue presses his head under "Drunken Dragons" chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Donoghue connects with a stiff knee to the chin. "Drunken Dragon" is dazed on the mat. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 Yasujiro circles Andrew, mixing jabs with body shots. Naoki circles Donoghue, mixing jabs with body shots. Andrew winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. "Drunken Dragon" gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Round 5 is finished.
