Round 1 Jay throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Simmons is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Fritz Simmons connects with a hard jab as Jay attempts a wide outside hook. Fritz gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Haynes peppers shot to the head of Fritz Simmons looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Fritz Simmons is hand playing well. Fritz starts to wiggle out of back control, Jay lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Jay Haynes dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Jay hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Fritz Simmons narrowly dodges a cross from Jay, but falls catching him in his guard. Haynes keeps his head down in the chest of Simmons to avoid any submission attempts. Haynes leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. Fritz tries to slide out of guard, but a scramble ensues. Jay ends up mounted by Fritz. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Haynes connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Jay Haynes hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Jay Haynes throws a few jabs at Fritz that miss the mark. A wild hook from Haynes is ducked by Fritz who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Haynes hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. A sloppy scooping ankle block is pulled of by Fritz Simmons. Jay is able to pull him into his guard. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Simmons presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Jay Haynes, aggressively pulling guard. Simmons starts to lock a triangle. Jay Haynes postures up and starts to stand up. Simmons lands a stiff upkick, slumping Jay Haynes back into his guard. Simmons gets his arm underneath the neck of Jay Haynes while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head. Simmons applies pressure forcing Jay Haynes to tumble over giving Simmons mount. Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 Jay Haynes throws a cross that easily dodged by Fritz Simmons. A trip to the ground allows Fritz Simmons to move into the guard of Jay Haynes. Jay begins to posture on his side. Fritz lands a couple of outside hooks and Jay returns to the guard. Fritz Simmons frees a leg and moves into half guard. Fritz tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Jay Haynes holds the head of Simmons close to avoid shots. Simmons slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Haynes holds the head of Fritz close to avoid shots.
