Round 1
Ivan Rodriquez connects with a hard punch making Cervantes bring him in to a tight clinch. "Sicario" attempts to grab the plum but is hit by an aggressive uppercut from Juanito Cervantes. A strong elbow forces Ivan Rodriquez to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Cervantes stands over Ivan Rodriquez, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Ivan Rodriquez is able to grab an arm and pull Cervantes into his guard. "el Fantasma" keeps his head down in the chest of Ivan Rodriquez to avoid any submission attempts. "el Fantasma" leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. "Sicario" attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Juanito Cervantes slips out at the last moment. Juanito tries to pass guard but "Sicario" stops him with a well timed punch. Cervantes starts to pepper away at the head of Ivan. Ivan slides out the back between the legs of Cervantes grabbing his leg and using the leverage to trip him. Ivan dives into his guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Ivan connects with a strong right hook. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Ivan Rodriquez dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. "el Fantasma" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by "el Fantasma", but Rodriquez is able to muscle through for a takedown. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
Ivan connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Juanito Cervantes. Ivan Rodriquez narrowly dodges a cross from Juanito, but falls catching him in his guard. "el Fantasma" tries to move to half guard but "Sicario" uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Juanito presses the action while in the guard, but Rodriquez is able to switch him into mount. Rodriquez maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Rodriquez postures up and begins to fire off rapid shots from mount but Juanito Cervantes tripods up and sweeps him over to his back. Juanito Cervantes quickly gets himself to mount. Round 3 comes to a close.

Round 4
Rodriquez connects with a jab cross combination. Ivan lands a jab, but it is returned by a sick uppercut from Juanito. Ivan Rodriquez lowers his hands to block a body kick, but Juanito switches to a high kick and rattles the jaw of Ivan Rodriquez. "el Fantasma" lands a solid kick to the front leg of Rodriquez. Rodriquez hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Juanito circles Ivan, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Ivan Rodriquez connects with a right that puts Juanito Cervantes off balance tumbling to the mat, as Ivan Rodriquez towers over him. Round 4 is finished.

Round 5
Cervantes connects with a hard punch making Rodriquez bring him in to a tight clinch. Cervantes places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Juanito escapes the clinch and creates some distance. "Sicario" throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Juanito Cervantes. Juanito lands a double jab. Juanito Cervantes throws a teep backing Ivan Rodriquez off. Round 5 comes to a close.
