Jo attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Senio Niu gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Round 2 Niu connects with a strong body shot combo. Senio gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Gelen peppers Senio Niu with several shots to the face. Senio slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Both fighters begin to exchange Senio catches Jo with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Jo gather himself. Jo says he is ok and the fight continues. Senio parries Jo Gelens jab and lands a liver shot. Senio parries Jo Gelens jab and connect with a cross. Round 3 Niu tries to hyperextend the knee of Gelen with a kick to the kneecap. Gelen hops back to avoid it. Senio connects with a jab cross combination. Niu ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Gelen and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. A lazy leg kick from Jo Gelen is caught by Senio Niu who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Jo Gelen. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 Niu stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Senio Niu is caught off guard by a kneebar attempt from Jo Gelen. Senio Niu struggles out of the lock and attempts to scramble. Jo Gelen is too quick and lunges forward to take half guard. Gelen attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Niu gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Senio Niu defends short shots well by turning his head. Gelen attempts to get a leg free and successfully moves into dominant side control. Senio Niu takes a few knees to the body while under Jo Gelens side control. Jo Gelen slides his knee across the body of Senio Niu and takes full mount. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 Jo Gelen plows through Niu with a driving double leg takedown. Niu gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Gelen attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Senio Niu gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Gelen slips out of half guard and into side control. Gelen lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Jo Gelen slides his knee across the body of Niu and takes full mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
