Round 1 Hideo Kase is staggered by a jab to the chin. Kase keeps Owen at a distance with some well timed jabs. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Owen attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Hideo pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Owen Hayes narrowly dodges a cross from Hideo, but falls catching him in his guard. An attempt to pull a switch is blocked by Hideo but both fighters end up on their side. Both fighters scramble to a stand up. Owen Hayes shoots a takedown from a distance putting Kase on the ground. Kase sets in an omaplata, forcing Hayes to roll through, giving Kase side control. Hideo Kase throws his knee into the ribs of Owen Hayes. Hideo Kase puts his knee on the belly of Owen Hayes. Owen Hayes punches up and Hideo Kase falls back with an armbar. Owen Hayes taps out.
