Round 1 Perry snaps back the head of Tom Morgan with a stiff jab. The fighters circle each other. Tom Morgan connects with a series of punches forcing "The Barrie Brawler" into a clinch. Tom Morgan attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Ron pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Ron sends Tom Morgan to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Perry takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Morgans guard. It doesn't pay off as Morgan makes his way to standing. A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by Perry, but Tom Morgan is able to muscle through for a takedown. Ron sets in an omaplata, forcing Tom to roll through, giving Ron side control. "The Barrie Brawler" attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Tom Morgan for his troubles. Tom Morgan gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Tom Morgan circles Perry, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Tom snaps back the head of Ron Perry with a stiff jab. Ron snaps back the head of Tom Morgan with a stiff jab. Morgan ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Ron Perry and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Tom throws a cross that easily dodged by Ron. Ron Perry is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Tom Morgan. Tom Morgan now has side control. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Ron Perry attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Tom takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Tom Morgan slides his knee across the body of Perry and takes full mount. Ron shifts his head and hips to keep Tom Morgan off balance and unable to land strikes. Ron gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Tom Morgan peppers Ron Perry with several shots to the face. Morgan lands a series of heavy punches forcing Ron Perry to roll to his back, giving Morgan mount. The round comes to an end.
