Round 1
Morin snaps back the head of McDonald with a stiff jab. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Dave Morin decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Dallas with him. Dave Morin sinks a deep kimura, but McDonald slides out. This gives Dave Morin the chance to switch to half guard. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
Dallas narrowly dodges a cross from Morin, but falls catching him in his guard. Dave drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Dave Morin takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Dallas McDonalds guard. It doesn't pay off as Dallas makes his way to standing. The fighters circle each other. Dave Morin keeps Dallas at a distance with some well timed jabs. Dave Morin rushes in grabbing an overhook. He then shoots his opposite arm beneath the overhook, falls back and tumbles, cartwheeling Dallas through the air with a beautiful japanese whizzer and takes side control. Dallas takes a few knees to the body while under Daves side control. Dave slides his knee across the body of Dallas McDonald and takes full mount. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Dave connects with a series of punches forcing McDonald into a clinch. Dave works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Dave attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with McDonald standing over him. McDonald attempts to drop a fist on Dave, but misses and lands in his guard. Dave connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Dallas McDonald drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Dave goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Dallas slips out at the last second. Morin attempts to lock in an armbar from the guard. McDonald narrowly avoids it, but allows for Morin to take mount.Round 3 comes to a close.
