Thomas attempts to drop bombs while caught in the guard, but Dave Morin takes the chance to switch Thomas over to mount him. Frankie Thomas pulls Dave Morin close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Round 2
The fighters circle each other. Dave Morin narrowly dodges a cross from Frankie, but falls catching him in his guard. Morin lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Frankie presses the action while in the guard, but Morin is able to switch him into mount. Frankie Thomas attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Dave secures his position. Round 2 comes to a close.

The fighters circle each other. A single-leg attempt is well defended by Morin. Frankie Thomas stands up, lifting the leg of Morin and executing a trip takedown. Thomas tries to pass guard but Morin stops him with a well timed punch. Thomas presses the action while in the guard, but Dave Morin is able to switch him into mount. Thomas shifts his head and hips to keep Dave Morin off balance and unable to land strikes. Dave is pulled in tight, and then switched over on his back. Frankie Thomas is now caught in Daves guard. Round 3 is over.
