Round 1 Rich Johnson circles Huerta, keeping him at bay with quick strikes. Johnson gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Rich Johnson carefully protects himself from Quicos strikes. Rich Johnson slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. "The Big GC" parries Quico Huertas jab and connect with a cross. Johnson lands a hook to the body. Rich Johnson takes a punch and goes to the mat, Quico pounces into side control. Rich Johnson recovers quickly. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 "GC Red Alert" weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Rich Johnson lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a strong uppercut. Rich Johnson parries a jab but leaves himself open for a hard cross. Johnson lands a devastating overhand right on "GC Red Alert". "The Big GC" is hit with a jab-cross and then brutally shoved to the ground. "GC Red Alert" falls into his guard, delivering a strong punch as he does so. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Rich sends "GC Red Alert" to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. "The Big GC" pulls out of the guard of "GC Red Alert", stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of "GC Red Alert". Johnson drops a few strong punches, opening up "GC Red Alerts" guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Quico gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Quico Huerta carefully protects himself from Johnsons strikes. "GC Red Alert" starts to wiggle out of back control, "The Big GC" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. "GC Red Alert" attempts a striking combination, but "The Big GC" forces the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. "The Big GC" fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Huerta up for a flurry of hooks. Quico Huerta lands a strong outside leg kick but is met with a counter hook from Rich that puts him on the floor. Johnson lays into "GC Red Alerts" thighs with some well timed kicks while Quico Huerta is grounded. Round 3 comes to a close.
