Round 1
Garret King lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by "Train 2k ". King lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Garret King is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Fumio presses forward landing a couple more strikes, but Garret King survives the onslaught with well timed blocks. Hatakeyama fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Garret. Fumio connects a few knees to the upper torso of Garret King. Fumio connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Garret is dazed on the mat. Fumio kicks at the thighs of Garret King. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
Garret circles Hatakeyama, mixing jabs and leg kicks. King attempts a striking combination, but Hatakeyama forces the clinch. Garret King drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Fumio sets a guillotine choke but Garret King slips out at the last moment. Garret King is now caught in guard. Fumio Hatakeyama backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Fumio connects with a series of punches forcing King into a clinch. A strong elbow forces Garret to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Fumio Hatakeyama attempts to drop a fist on Garret, but misses and lands in his guard.Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. King places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. King attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with "Train 2k " standing over him. Fumio attempts to drop a fist on Garret King, but misses and lands in his guard. King connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. King shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. King goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Fumio Hatakeyama slips out at the last second. King lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Round 3 comes to a close.
