Round 1 Justin Cook fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with James Hall. Cook places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Cook escapes the clinch and creates some distance. James Hall throws a cross that easily dodged by Cook. James Hall eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Cook. James eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Justin. Justin Cook takes down James Hall, but remains standing over him. Justin lays into James Halls thighs with some well timed kicks while Hall is grounded. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Cook throws a cross that easily dodged by Hall. A single-leg attempt is well defended by Cook. James Hall stands up, lifting the leg of Cook and executing a trip takedown. Hall drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Justin sinks a deep kimura, but Hall slides out. This gives Justin the chance to switch to half guard. James slams his knee into Justin Cooks ribs. Hall slams his knee into Justins ribs. Justin positions himself back into full guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 James Hall fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Justin to a corner. Justin swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. James attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Cook slips out of it at the last moment. James Hall tries to pick up Cook for a powerbomb, but Cook releases his guard and ends up in stand up. Cook lands a quick elbow, cross that floors James Hall. Hall eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Justin Cook. James snaps back the head of Justin with a stiff jab. Hall wraps around Justin Cooks waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control Justin Cook almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Justin is wisely defending a kimura. Hall attempts to take it but Justin is having none of it, though Hall has used the chance the slide into mount. Round 3 is finished.
