Round 1 Watson sends Ruy to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Watson tries to pass guard but Ruy stops him with a well timed punch. Garza attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Garza attempts a lazy shot, which Erik sprawls, eventually taking Garza back. Ruy Garza tries to stand up but Watson plants him back down with several strikes. Watson throws a few punches opening Ruy Garza up to a deep rear naked choke. Ruy Garza can only tap out.
