Round 1 Marcelo Aguilar connects with a series of punches forcing Kenta Watnabe into a clinch. Aguilar lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Watnabe recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Marcelo parries Kentas jab and lands a liver shot that buckles Kenta. Kenta rolls to his back with Marcelo standing over him. Aguilar drops a huge strike to Kentas chin, landing into his guard. Aguilar takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Kenta Watnabes guard. It doesn't pay off as Watnabe makes his way to standing. Marcelo Aguilar works Kenta Watnabe into a corner, swimming for double underhooks. Marcelo Aguilar presses his head into Watnabes chest, forcing him to the ground. Marcelo dodges a few strikes from Kenta and lands an overhand and a elbow. Marcelo Aguilar drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Kenta Watnabe circles Marcelo Aguilar, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Marcelo Aguilar circles Watnabe, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Marcelo Aguilar circles Kenta, mixing jabs with body shots. Watnabe takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Aguilar is cut open under the eye by a standing elbow strike. Kenta Watnabe sends Aguilar to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Aguilar ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Watnabe and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Marcelo Aguilar connects with a strong right hook. Marcelo circles Kenta Watnabe, landing jabs at will. Marcelo Aguilar attempts to clinch, but Kenta Watnabe connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Kenta dodges a jab and throws a knee to the midsection of Marcelo Aguilar. Marcelo attempts a takedown but slips, and Watnabe backs away. Watnabe is standing over Marcelo. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
