Round 1 Taylor is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines Taylor can continue. Christian Bennett lands a solid kick to the inside thigh of Taylor. Christian Bennett snaps back the head of Taylor with a stiff jab. Jones throws a cross that easily dodged by Christian Bennett. Bennett lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Jones Taylor. Bennett then switch kicks Jones Taylor on the opposing rib. Bennett gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Christian Bennett is defended well by Taylor. Christian Bennett grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Christian Bennett returns to the clinch. Bennett escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Jones moves in to press the action, but Bennett lands a heavy back kick. "Yeller" begins to clinch with Bennett, but Bennett presses out of it burning up quite a bit of energy. Christian Bennett circles Jones, mixing jabs with body shots. Jones Taylor is met with a cross and a liver shot that staggers him. Christian explodes with a flurry of punches. Jones Taylor is then thrown to the floor. Christian Bennett drops a huge strike to Jones Taylors chin, landing into his guard. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Bennett lands a solid kick to the inside thigh of Jones. Jones weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Christian escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Bennett is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Jones Taylor prepares to pounce, but Bennett gets his bearings just in time. Jones Taylor lays into Christian Bennetts thighs with some well timed kicks while Bennett is grounded. The round comes to an end.
