Round 1 A jab from Ron is blocked and a cross is returned by Nicolas Vargas. "The Burning" sprawls a takedown attempt from Vargas. Vargas eats several punches on the way back to his feet. Ron Brown circles Vargas, mixing jabs and leg kicks. "The Burning" shoots but Nicolas stuffs it, eventually using a whizzer to work to side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Vargas throws a cross that easily dodged by Ron Brown. Ron Brown stuffs a shot from Nicolas Vargas and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Ron pulls out of the guard of Nicolas Vargas, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Nicolas Vargas. "The Burning" pushes down Nicolass leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. "The Burning" is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Nicolas gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Vargas starts to wiggle out of back control, Ron lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The fighters circle each other. Ron Brown loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Nicolas for the mistake. Nicolas has side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Ron narrowly dodges a cross from Vargas, but falls catching him in his guard. Ron Brown gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Nicolas Vargas hits Ron Brown with some punches to the side of the head. Vargas slips out of half guard and into side control. "The Burning" takes a few knees to the body while under Nicolass side control. Brown taps out from a hammmerlock.
