Round 1 Duane connects with a strong right hook. Dave narrowly dodges a cross from Duane, but falls catching him in his guard. Dave Nash is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Dave works for a triangle but Hayes throws Daves straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. Duane Hayes tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Duane Hayes slips out of half guard and into side control. Nash gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Dave Nash starts to wiggle out of back control, Duane Hayes lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Dave Nash is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Round 1 is finished.

Dave Nash counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. Dave circles Hayes, landing jabs at will. A shot catches Dave off balance and off guard. Duane Hayes grabs him by the waist, lifts him, swings him through and slams in onto the ground. Dave scrambles well and works to guard. Round 3 is over.
