Claude uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown. Claude hits Daiki with some punches to the side of the head. Claude Hughes is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Round 2 Daiki Takenouchi fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Hughes. Claude Hughes receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Takenouchi. Takenouchi dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Claude Hughes standing over him. Hughes attempts to drop a fist on Daiki, but misses and lands in his guard. Claude Hughes drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Round 3 Daiki parries Hughess jab and connect with a cross. Claude throws a cross that easily dodged by Takenouchi. Daiki circles Claude Hughes, landing jabs and crosses at will. The fighters circle each other. Round 3 comes to a close.
