Round 1 The fighters circle each other. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Ian takes Rays back standing. Rogers isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Ian lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Rogers to release. Rogers is staggered by a jab to the chin. Ray Rogers fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Ian Arnold. Ian executes a an impressive greco-roman takedown from the clinch, putting him in guard. Arnold is caught in a tight body triangle but lands some hard punches that force Rogers to loosen his guard and create distance. Rogers gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Arnold slips out of half guard and into side control. Ray takes a few knees to the body while under Ians side control. Ian Arnold moves to north-south position. Ray Rogers begins to roll out from under Ian Arnold but Ian Arnold is able scramble to Rays back. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 A wild hook from Ray Rogers is ducked by Arnold who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. A welt begins to form under Ians eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Rogers. A welt begins to form under Ians eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Ray. A welt begins to form under Arnolds eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Rogers. The fighters circle each other. Ray connects with a strong right hook. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 The fighters circle each other. Ray Rogers stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Ian pulls out of the guard of Ray, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Ray. Arnold drops some elbows from guard, giving him a brief moment to switch over to side control. Round 3 is over.
