Round 1 John Jacobs attempts a takedown, but Justin Fox clumsily falls down without much provocation. Jacobs drops a huge strike to Justin Foxs chin, landing into his guard. Justin Fox is almost caught in a omoplata but is able to work his way back to guard. "Tweeter " drops a few strong punches, opening up Justin Foxs guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Justin Fox attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Fox gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Fox eats a few stiff shots from John, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. John secures his position. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Justin connects with a hard punch making Jacobs bring him in to a tight clinch. Justin places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Jacobs attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Fox pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. A looping right hook from Justin Fox sends Jacobs to the mat. Justin drops a huge strike to Johns chin, landing into his guard. Justin sits up in "Tweeter s" open guard and spins to an leg lock. "Tweeter " is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Justin Fox sends John Jacobs to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. John begins to posture on his side. Fox lands a couple of outside hooks and John returns to the guard. Justin defends a triangle attempt, throwing "Tweeter s" straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. "Tweeter " is able to hold him to half guard. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Justin Fox connects with a jab cross combination. Justin Fox stuffs a shot from "Tweeter " and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. John begins to posture on his side. Fox lands a couple of outside hooks and John returns to the guard. Justin defends a triangle attempt, throwing "Tweeter s" straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Jacobs is able to hold him to half guard. Jacobs holds the head of Justin Fox close to avoid shots. Justin Fox slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Justin attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as "Tweeter " gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Justin Fox tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. The round comes to an end.
