Round 1 Fritz sprawls a takedown attempt from Edu Mendez. Edu Mendez eats several punches on the way back to his feet. Edu shuffles away from Fritzs strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Fritz backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Wright hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Fritz Wright grabs for a clinch but Edu grazes him with an uppercut. Fritz Wright staggers back, then surprises Edu with a powerful superman punch. Fritz dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Mendez. Fritz connects with a jab, plants his left hand on the ground and pushes up smashing Edu Mendezs head with a cartwheel kick. Mendez parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Fritz lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Fritz throws a combination of punches ducking and feinting return shots. Fritz smiling with his hands down as he shuffles in and out. Mendez is leading with his head during his combos and Fritz makes him pay by landing a lead knee to the jaw. Mendez shakes it off as he steps back. Wright connects with a jab, plants his left hand on the ground and pushes up smashing Mendezs head with a cartwheel kick. Edu Mendez is staggered by a jab to the chin. Wright lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Edu Mendez circling away. A running flurry from Edu is countered by a well-timed shovel punch from Fritz. Fritz follows up with a powerful kick to the midsection. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Edu lands a jab, but it is returned by a sick uppercut from Fritz Wright. Wright dodges a jab-cross combo from Mendez and connects with a front snap kick, sending Mendez stumbling backwards. Fritz Wright connects with numerous jabs to the face of Edu Mendez. Fritz rushes forward landing a quick succession of leg, body and head kicks sends Edu back into the cage dizzied. Edu Mendez dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Fritz Wright. Edu is struck by a ball kick from Fritz that causes him to stumble backwards. Wright fakes a push kick, switching into a roundhouse to the head of Edu. A roundhouse is dodged by Edu who tries to capitalize. Fritz Wright follows his momentum and lands a spinning side kick that catch Edu in the belly. Wright lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Edu Mendez circling away. Mendez eats a stiff kick to the face. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
