Round 1 Jamshid Mahdavi is struck by a ball kick from Jacob that puts him on his back. Jamshid Mahdavi connects with a strong right hook. Mahdavi parries Jacob Turcottes jab and connect with a cross. Jacob lands a stiff jab and inside-leg kick. Mahdavi connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Turcotte. Jamshid Mahdavi parries a jab but is caught by a sweeping leg kick that sends him to the floor. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Both fighters begin to exchange Jamshid Mahdavi catches Jacob with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Jacob gather himself. Jacob says he is ok and the fight continues. Mahdavi stuffs a shot from Jacob and hits him with an outside body shot. Jacob gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. A right hand from Jacobs guard angers Mahdavi who returns the favor with a powerful left hand. Turcotte gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Jacob holds the head of Jamshid Mahdavi close to avoid shots. Jamshid Mahdavi slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Mahdavi presses his foot onto the thigh of Jacob to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Jacob gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Turcotte slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Turcotte is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Jamshid tries to hyperextend the knee of Jacob with a kick to the kneecap. Jacob hops back to avoid it. Jamshid connects with jab cross combination. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Mahdavi lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a strong uppercut. Jacob Turcotte hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Jacob Turcotte parries Jamshids jab and lands a liver shot. Round 3 is finished.
