Round 1
"Sunshine Kid" attempts a striking combination, but Gomes forces the clinch. Filipe lands a powerful knee to the face of "Sunshine Kid". Filipe grabs the plum and pulls Ruizs face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Filipe lets go of the hold and lands a hook. Filipe connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Ruiz. Gomes shuffles away from Ruizs strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Ruiz backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Filipe unleashes a flurry of punches on Ruiz. Enrique Ruiz is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Filipe explodes forward with a push kick that puts Enrique Ruiz on the canvas. Gomes chucks Enrique Ruizs legs to a side to attempt a soccer kick but misses and he elects to sprawl into side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Filipe Gomes connects with numerous jabs to the face of Enrique Ruiz. Filipe parries Enriques jab and connect with a cross. Enrique throws a hard jab but Filipe Gomes throws a cross right over the top that knocks Enrique to the ground. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
Enrique Ruiz stuffs a shot from Gomes and lands several shots to his body. Gomes attempts to pull guard but Enrique Ruiz makes it to side mount. Enrique attempts an armbar, but Filipe stops the attempt. Enrique uses the oppurtunity to take mount. "Sunshine Kid" splits Filipe Gomess nose open with a well timed punch. "Sunshine Kid" telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Filipe Gomes gives up his back to stop the attempt. Gomes carefully protects himself from Enriques strikes. Enrique sets in a rear naked choke. Gomes taps out.
