Round 1 Athanas attempts to press in on Ramirez but is met with powerful inside-leg kicks. Athanas parries Ramirezs jab and connect with a cross. Hugo connects with a hard punch making Cosmas Athanas bring him in to a tight clinch. Hugo grabs the plum and lands several knees to the legs Cosmas. Cosmas Athanas attempts a takedown but slips, and Ramirez backs away. Ramirez is standing over Cosmas Athanas. Ramirez stands over Athanas, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Athanas cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Ramirez is staggered by a jab to the chin. Cosmas narrowly dodges a cross from Ramirez, but falls catching him in his guard. Cosmas shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Ramirez presses the action while in the guard, but Cosmas Athanas is able to switch him into mount. Athanas secures his position. Cosmas Athanas punishes Hugo Ramirez with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Athanas is cut open under the eye by a standing elbow strike. Hugo Ramirez connects with a strong right hook. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Hugo Ramirez connects with a strong body shot combo. Athanas snaps back the head of Ramirez with a stiff jab. A running flurry from Cosmas Athanas is countered by a shovel punch to the jaw. Hugo Ramirez then grabs the plum and throws Cosmas Athanas to the ground, immediately striking Cosmas Athanass thighs. The round comes to an end.
