Round 1 Wes attempts a lazy shot, which "Ink Rebel" sprawls, eventually taking Wes back. Francisco Cardenas lands a double punch to the head of Wes Lawson. Lawson starts to wiggle out of back control, Francisco Cardenas lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Wes loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Francisco Cardenas for the mistake. Francisco Cardenas has side control. Francisco slides his knee across the body of Wes Lawson and takes full mount. Francisco maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Wes attempts to escape mount but has no luck. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Francisco hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Cardenas attempts a striking combination, but Wes Lawson forces the clinch. Lawson receieves numerous knees to the thighs from "Ink Rebel". Wes gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Francisco Cardenas absorbs several body shots while being tied up. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Wes connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Francisco. Cardenas keeps Wes Lawson at a distance with some well timed jabs. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Wes throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. "Ink Rebel" swims to double underhooks and turns Wes Lawson but Wes Lawson gets double underhooks of his own and rotates "Ink Rebel" right back into the cage. Cardenas attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Wess strikes. Francisco Cardenas attempts to grab the plum but is met by an overhand punch from Wes Lawson. Wes Lawson recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Round 3 comes to a close.
