Round 1 Tom Daniel hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Hakim. Mahmoudi shoots in on Tom who sprawls well and lands multiple outside strikes. Mahmoudi gives up on the shot and rolls to his guard. Hakim is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Tom pushes down Hakim Mahmoudis leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Daniel is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Hakim Mahmoudi gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Hakim starts to wiggle out of back control, Tom Daniel lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Hakim Mahmoudi is staggered by a jab to the chin. Hakim throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Tom Daniel puts Hakim on the mat giving his back up. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Daniel places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Tom Daniel takes the back of Hakim who works for a kimura. Tom Daniel pulls his arm out of the hold and push Hakim away. A welt begins to form under Hakim Mahmoudis eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Tom Daniel. Daniel connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Mahmoudi takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. A looping right hook from Tom sends Mahmoudi to the mat. Tom kicks at the legs of Hakim Mahmoudi and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Hakim Mahmoudi to stand. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Tom connects with jab cross combination. Tom Daniel loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Hakim Mahmoudi for the mistake. Hakim Mahmoudi has side control. Daniel is wisely defending a kimura. Hakim attempts to take it but Daniel is having none of it, though Hakim has used the chance the slide into mount. Daniel arches his body up to buck off Mahmoudi from mount. A scramble takes place leading to both fighters back to their feet. Hakim Mahmoudi tries to hyperextend the knee of Tom with a kick to the kneecap. Tom hops back to avoid it. Tom circles Mahmoudi, landing jabs and crosses at will. Hakim connects with a hard jab as Tom Daniel attempts a wide outside hook. The round comes to an end.
