Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jasha Semyonov works to Paangs back while standing. Jasha Semyonov throws a couple of outside shots until Paang is able to work his way back to the clinch. Paang dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Jasha Semyonov standing over him. Semyonov attempts to drop a fist on Ryan, but misses and lands in his guard. Ryan Paang shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Ryan connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Ryan gets his arm underneath the neck of Jasha Semyonov while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head. Jasha Semyonov powers out of the attempted choke. Ryan Paang grabs the arm of Semyonov while in guard and holds tight eating shots to ribs. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Ryan connects with numerous jabs to the face of Jasha. Ryan connects with numerous jabs to the face of Semyonov. Semyonov connects with a jab cross combination. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Jasha Semyonov winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Paang takes a punch and goes to the mat, Jasha Semyonov pounces into side control. Paang recovers quickly. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Semyonov is staggered by a jab to the chin. Semyonov hits an uppercut to the head of Paang followed by a hard hook. Ryan executes a single leg giving him the back of Jasha. Ryan locks in a body triangle as he takes shots at Semyonov. Jasha starts to wiggle out of back control, Paang lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Ryan Paang snaps back the head of Jasha with a stiff jab. Paang connects with a series of punches forcing Semyonov into a clinch. Round 3 is over.
