Round 1
Brett hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Gimenez circles Brett, landing jabs and crosses at will. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Both fighters begin to exchange "Caderno da Morte" catches Brett Fournier with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Brett Fournier gather himself. Brett Fournier says he is ok and the fight continues. Hector keeps Brett at a distance with some well timed jabs. Fournier is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Round 1 is over.

Round 2
Fournier catches a leg kick from Gimenez, and puts him on the mat. "Caderno da Morte" is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Brett. Gimenez attempts a sloppy triangle attempt allowing Fournier the chance to pass to side control. Hector Gimenez takes a few knees to the body while under Fourniers side control. Brett slides his knee across the body of Hector and takes full mount. Hector Gimenez lands a good elbow as Brett lowers his torso. Gimenez attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Both fighters begin to exchange "Caderno da Morte" catches Fournier with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Fournier gather himself. Fournier says he is ok and the fight continues. Gimenez attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Brett Fournier takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Hector Gimenez is wisely defending a kimura. Brett attempts to take it but Hector Gimenez is having none of it, though Brett has used the chance the slide into mount. "Caderno da Morte" arches his body up to buck off Brett from mount. A scramble takes place leading to both fighters back to their feet. Fournier hits an uppercut to the head of Hector Gimenez followed by a hard hook. Fournier is staggered by a jab to the chin. Fournier connects with a hard jab as "Caderno da Morte" attempts a wide outside hook. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
