Round 1 Both fighters begin to exchange "Bald Beast" catches Kalib Dawson with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Kalib Dawson gather himself. Kalib Dawson says he is ok and the fight continues. Cook connects with numerous jabs to the face of Kalib Dawson. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Dawson takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Travis Cook grabs for a clinch but Dawson grazes him with an uppercut. Travis Cook staggers back, then surprises Dawson with a powerful superman punch. Travis Cook narrowly dodges a cross from Kalib, but falls catching him in his guard. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Travis is staggered by a jab to the chin. Kalib Dawson dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Kalib connects with a strong right hook. Travis connects with a hard jab as Kalib attempts a wide outside hook. Dawsons legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Cook receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Kalib Dawson. "Bald Beast" takes Kalib Dawsons back standing. Kalib Dawson isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but "Bald Beast" lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Kalib Dawson to release. Kalib circles Travis, landing jabs and crosses at will. Cook counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. Travis Cook blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. Kalib tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. Cook is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Kalib tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Cook that puts him on the floor. "Bald Beast" stands over Kalib Dawson, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Kalib Dawson cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. The round comes to an end.
