Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Douglas directs the head of Jay Kim leading to a stiff knee to the face. Jim takes the back of Kim who works for a kimura. Jim pulls his arm out of the hold and push Kim away. Jim Douglas lands a double jab. Kim winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Douglas shuffles away from Kims strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Jay backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Jay is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Jim explodes forward with a push kick that puts Jay on the canvas. Jim Douglas stands over Jay Kim, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Jay Kim cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Jay Kim parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. Jim Douglas lands a solid kick to the front leg of Kim. Jay is staggered by a jab to the chin. Kim is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Jim Douglas. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Jay tries to hyperextend the knee of Jim Douglas with a kick to the kneecap. Jim Douglas hops back to avoid it. Douglas throws a teep backing Kim off. Jim lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Jay Kim presses forward, grabbing the plum and lands a strong hook, buckling Douglas to the mat. Jay Kim stands back and waves Douglas up. Kim locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Douglas. Round 3 is over.
