Round 1 Jim is cut open under the eye by a standing elbow strike. Douglas throws a hard jab but Jay throws a cross right over the top rocking Douglas. Jim Douglas attempts to press in on Jay Kim but is met with powerful inside-leg kicks. The fighters circle each other. Kim takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Jim Douglas to hit him harder. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Douglas lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Kim connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Jay connects with numerous jabs to the face of Douglas. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Jim is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. Kim explodes forward with a push kick that puts Jim on the canvas. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Douglas parries Jay Kims jab and lands a liver shot. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Douglas takes Kims back standing. Kim isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Douglas lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Kim to release. Jay Kim throws a leg kick. Jim shin checks the kick. He then leaps up to land a crushing knee strike to the chin of Jay Kim. Jay Kim stumbles back. Douglas throws a hard leg kick but is checked by Jay Kim. Douglas hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. A roundhouse is dodged by Jay who tries to capitalize. Jim follows his momentum and lands a spinning side kick that catch Jay in the belly. The round comes to an end.
