Gwangjong attempts a few a shots from the guard, but gets mounted for his troubles. Gwangjong Gnag gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Julio peppers Gwangjong with several shots to the face. Gnag starts to wiggle out of back control, "no 9" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Leon connects with a hard punch making Gwangjong Gnag bring him in to a tight clinch. "no 9" lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Julio takes Gnags back standing. Gwangjong isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Julio lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Gwangjong to release. Julio blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. Gnag tries to press the action but is met with a jab-cross then an uppercut that puts him to on the floor. Julio stands over Gnag, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Gnag is able to grab an arm and pull Julio into his guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Gwangjong locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Leon. Gnag works Leon into the cage from the clinch. Gnag presses his head under Leons chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Gnag attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with Julio standing over him. Leon stands over Gwangjong, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Gwangjong is able to grab an arm and pull Leon into his guard. Julio pulls out of the guard of Gnag, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Gnag. Julio Leon tries to move to half guard but Gwangjong uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Gwangjong connects with several chop shots from the bottom. "no 9" opens up the guard and rises back to his feet. Round 3 comes to a close.
