Round 1 James connects with a hard jab as Pete Rowe attempts a wide outside hook. James throws a hard jab but Pete throws a cross right over the top rocking James. Pete Rowe is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. James tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Pete Rowe that puts him on the floor. Pete Rowe kicks at the legs of James Hammond and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells James Hammond to stand. James Hammond is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Pete prepares to pounce, but James Hammond gets his bearings just in time. Rowe lays into Hammonds thighs with some well timed kicks while "El Cholo" is grounded. Rowe kicks at the legs of James and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells James to stand. Pete ducks and weaves through a quick combo from James and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Pete Rowe is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Hammond tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Pete Rowe that puts him on the floor. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Pete Rowe connects with numerous jabs to the face of Hammond. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. James drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. James Hammond snatches a leg and wrenches back for an ankle lock. Pete defends well so the lock changes to a heel hook. James Hammond rotates into a very tight knee bar but Pete wiggles out to his feet. Pete is hit with a jab and then taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. Pete shifts his hips to get better position in the guard.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Pete catches a leg kick from James Hammond, and puts him on the mat. "El Cholo" begins to posture on his side. Rowe lands a couple of outside hooks and "El Cholo" returns to the guard. Rowe drops a few strong punches, opening up "El Cholos" guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Hammond gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Pete Rowe peppers Hammond with several shots to the face. James Hammond starts to wiggle out of back control, Rowe lets him escape putting them both on their feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Pete Rowe takes the back of "El Cholo" who works for a kimura. Pete Rowe pulls his arm out of the hold and push "El Cholo" away. Pete blocks a cross, liver shot combo but is pushed backward. "El Cholo" tries to press the action but is met with a jab, cross, uppercut that puts him to on the floor. Pete Rowe lays into "El Cholo" with some stomps. "El Cholo" can't handle it as the ref stops the fight.
